When did SureWest go public? At what price?
The Company has never conducted a registered public offering on a Form S-1 Registration Statement (or any predecessor forms). Instead, shares have been issued over the years in various public offerings to California residents (the last one concluded in 1983) exempt from registration under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. In 1965, the Company surpassed the threshold benchmarks requiring registration as a reporting company under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended. Consequently, since that time, the Company has filed all necessary reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission including proxy statements, annual reports to shareholders, and annual and quarterly reports on Forms 10-K and 10-Q, respectively. The Company's stock originally traded under the symbol "RVTL" until the formation of the holding company, Roseville Communications Company, at which point the stock traded under the symbol "RVCL." Since the name change to SureWest Communications, completed in late May 2001, the Company's stock has traded under the symbol "SURW." Prior to September 6, 2001, when trading moved to the Nasdaq, SURW traded on the over-the-counter Bulletin Board (OTCBB) market.
