At SureWest, strong community involvement has long been an essential part of how we do business. A goal at SureWest is to help foster and nurture relationships between our employees and the community. A positive work environment accompanied by strong corporate support encourages employees to volunteer and stay active within the local community where they make a significant difference.

The creation of the SureWest Foundation in 1992 works in conjunction with the vision of SureWest to promote business partnerships and enhance employee involvement and giving throughout the regional community. We give back to the communities where we and our customers live, work and play. The SureWest Foundation is proud of the many successful and longstanding relationships it has built over the years. The Foundation is an organization dedicated to helping others through raising support for special needs and programs that help improve and enhance a healthier environment and a stronger community.

Today the SureWest Foundation provides fundraising opportunities ranging from special events to planned giving. The Foundation has returned over $1.5 million dollars in gifts and pledges to organizations serving the elderly and disabled, disaster victims, families in crisis, children, young people and others in need.

A substantial gift also comes from the “one percent back to the community” program. Under this plan, one percent of SureWest Long Distance revenue generated from direct-dialed calls to any numbers within the United States is donated to the foundation.

One hundred percent of all the contributions made to the Foundation flow directly back to the community. The SureWest Foundation is dedicated to helping others.
