NETWORK NOTIFICATION OF NEW SERVICE OR REVISION:
Fujitsu ADSL equipment interconnection is available at
most sites. Please refer to Network Availability Web Page.
REASON:
The update is provided to notify operations of expanded
and new offerings of the existing ADSL service.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR INTERCONNECTION:
- The DSL end-user must be located within 17,500 feet of a SureWest Telephone enabled DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer)
site.
- The telephone line must be qualified to carry the DSL signal. · DSL
requires a compatible modem at the customer location. This modem must
be compatible with the DSLAM equipment.
- A NIC (Network Interface Card) is required in the customer computer.
- An Internet Service Provider must be selected. This ISP must be connected
to the SureWest Telephone ADSL Network.
- Existing POTS line terminated at customer site.*
*A splitter is necessary at the customer premise for
these services. Analog voice service is available on these lines.
