NETWORK NOTIFICATION OF NEW SERVICE OR REVISION:
This document is notification of the offering of Nokia
equipped ADSL and G.SHDSL high-speed data service. G.SHDSL service will
be generally available in the second quarter of 2002.
REASON:
This equipment provides for ADSL and G.SHDSL services, and interconnection.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR INTERCONNECTION:
- The DSL end-user must be located within 17,500 feet of a SureWest Telephone enabled DSLAM site. The line must be qualified to
carry the DSL signal.
- DSL requires a compatible router at the customer location. This router
must be compatible with the DSLAM equipment.
- A NIC (Network Interface Card) or other compatible interface is required
in the customer computer.
- An Internet Service Provider must be selected. This ISP must be connected
to the SureWest Telephone DSL Network.
- An access line terminated at the customer's site may not be required.

* G.SHDSL signaling does not allow for concurrent voice
and data transfer on the same line. No splitter is necessary at the customer
premise for these services. No telephone service is available on these
lines.
